Chickadees Christmas Party '09
The Chickadee's Red Hat ladies met at Denny's for lunch and our Christmas cookie exchange and a fun game of Christmas Bingo.
Yum, look at all of the goodies!
The tables were beautifully decorated with Christmas cheer.
Robin is our new Queen Mother, taking the place of Janet Pratt, who is sadly (for us) moving to Florida (happily for her) to live near her children and grand children...we will miss you, Janet.
Robin will be a fine Queen mother though, and we are lucky to have her.
Christmas bingo...using peppermint candies to mark the bingo squares.
Then we all got to choose from the many Christmas treats and take a sampling home.

FALL FLING..........IT'S A LUAU
Mom and I posing on the "beach", mom was playing a few tunes on an inflatable ukulele...
The girl on the left won the hula contest, of course, she's Hawaiian or something, piece of cake.
Everything was beautifully decorated.
The Chickadees.....we had a good turn out.
The lady on the left is 92 years old, and danced all day long!
The "band"...Nice and Easy....they were very funny and entertaining too.
The hula hoop contest.....
The poi ball contest.
There were about 300 ladies there.
Some lady put on a fat suit and did the hula...she was wearing a coconut bra and a horrible mask.
I came in second in the hula contest, there were about 50 contestants, so I was pretty happy.
The Cabana boys
Many ladies were rockin'
Limbo.....how low can you go.
Finally, the chicken dance.
My trophy, it's on the mantle ....lol....like I'm really talented or something....lol

Lunch at the Leaky Bucket
It was a gorgeous day, and we enjoyed the sunshine coming in the windows.
Marilyn and Peggy.
The hummingbirds were busy too.
We were going to play bingo, but instead we just drew numbers and picked our own prize, which was really fun, because there were some really great prizes.
A poem was read about the size of "Boobs"
Some more birds outside the windows.

Christmas in July.....only in August
The Chickadees met at Sharon's Restaurant in Salem for a Christmas in August.
As you can see, the tables were decorated in Christmas decorations.
We had a very young pink hatter visiting with great grandma.
Our placemats were made by our hostesses, they were very pretty and festive.
Some announcements were read.
And we had our very own Christmas Elf....
